Hello! My name is Ramani and I am a Fashion Design student graduating in May 2020 from the Fashion Institute of Technology, specializing in Special Occasion/Evening Wear and Bridal with a double minor in French and Art History.

I am ethnically Indian and a Singaporean citizen and a permanent resident of Dubai, UAE, but I am currently living in New York, USA. My varied cultural and ethnic experiences have shaped me as a designer, I always look to my roots for inspiration before I assemble a collection.

I am very passionate about the design process of putting together a well-curated collection as well as the creativity and innovation that goes into the actual making of a garment. I have intern and work experience in the design department of luxury, haute couture fashion houses. I also hold several on-campus leadership roles such as Resident Assistant, Cultural Fellow and Lab Monitor

I am skilled in many industrial sofwares such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Yunique PLM, Kaleido Suite for CAD. I am also talented at Pattern Making, Draping, Garment Construction, Fashion Illustration and illustrating Technical Flats and Technical Spec Sheets.
